Bundling

Example: Sustainability microgrid + Main Street overhaul

When reconstructing its entire main thoroughfare, Washington Street, the City of Hoboken, NJ  used the opportunity of extensive underground excavation to bury a microgrid. The City bundled one project into another.

The mile-long microgrid will provide emergency electricity to

  • five shelters

  • three senior-citizen and low-income residential complexes

  • two supermarkets

  • two pharmacies

  • fire house

  • police HQ

  • City Hall
